Blog of the Year 2012 Award

Wow! I am so honoured I’m not quite sure what to say. Blog of the Year? Not come across this one before and I’m a bit stunned to say the least. Not often you find me speechless (yes, we’ve noticed – shh, this is a speech. Thought you were speechless – Not so much. Shh!) but it’s a bit special, isn’t it? Yes, really speechless now!So, without more ado:-

Tada!
First of all Thank you to Eunice over at http://nutsfortreasure.wordpress.com/ for presenting me with this award. She’s kind considerate and has a mad blog, difficult to pigeon-hole because it is so varied, but you will never be disappointed when you visit.
And now I nominate the following for the Blog of the Year 2012:
http://www.darlenefoster.ca/ who is an author (Amanda stories) writes short stories and has links for writers.
http://tersiaburger.com/ who deserves every award going and some. Don’t expect a laugh a minute, not because Tersia doesn’t have a sense of humour, but because this is a tough blog about a tough life. Right now her daughter is battling with a terminal illness. Tersia’s courage and honesty are distilled through her writing.
http://jotsfromasmallapt.wordpress.com insightful lady who writes from the heart, bakes and connects at every level. Thank you for your help and your kind words.
http://artistsroad.wordpress.com/ Patrick will keep you straight on The Artist’s Road wherever it is you want to go. One of the Top Ten Best Blogs for Writers, no list would be complete without him.
Anne at http://shrewdbanana.wordpress.com/ who writes great poetry amonst other things and
Andrew at http://andrewtoynbee.wordpress.com/. He has a book out and is currently writing the sequel. Looking forward to how the next one turns out.
Actually, there are loads and loads of you that I’d like to nominate, but I’m going to stop now, or the post will be enormous and no one will read to the bottom!
But I would like to say a big Thank you to everyone that reads my offerings. And consider yourselves my personal favourite Blogs of the Year.

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/   and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

Here are the six badges for you to collect – you can either ‘swop’ your badge for the next one each time you are given the award – or even proudly display all six badges if you are lucky enough to be presented with the award six times!

  10. A belated thank you for nomming me, Ms. Arborea! My situation is such that I finally have a moment to respond. Smile, for the shortest day is soon to pass! 🙂

    • You are very welcome.
Smiling all the while at the moment. I am a big kid about Christmas!
I have several little children to buy presents for and once I get stuck into that it’s difficult to stop.
Confession: I spent this morning playing with a three year old and a small green recycling/dustcart! It plays tunes and has its own little bin for emptying. Not sure who was the more delighted – him or me – and originally it was supposed to be a Christmas present, but had to go and buy something else since he had this one early!
